TDIPT & Thank You Pockets

Before I forget, make sure ya run on over to TDIPT for this months offerings..I tell ya, there are some talented gals on that magazine!

Well here is another Thank You pocket I made that's available for sale. These were the little gifts I sent to everyone who signed up for the SUGAR giveaway. Hope ya liked them.

They are 7 x 5 and oh sooo fun to make. So fun that I made up about 50 of the suckers!! Yes, you heard me right....50! No I am not obsesssssive complusive I just had a LOT of scrapbook paper I wanted to use. LOL And use I did. It took me 7 1/2 hours cutting these out on the die cut machine. I had such a great time. People at the store thought I was nuts... LOL

I just finished up the last of the 50 last night? Yeppper all 50 are done, embellished and ready to send on out. Each pocket has two pages or inserts. One page with the Thanks on it and the second page you can hand write a thank you note or type it up real purdy and paste it on. Now....I need YOU to buy them. LOL Oh just kiddin. I actually do have a very good price on each...$2.80 per pocket and that includes postage.

So in otherwords, I am making a whoppin DOLLAR on these. LOL Not worth my time you say....well not really but life isn't all about making the bucks now is it. It's sharing a passion, it's giving from the heart, it's about making someone happy with a pretty good deal who ordinarily can't afford something in these tough times. I'm realizing the older I get, the more I want to GIVE and share. Maybe it's because I think, OK someday I'm gonna hit that dirt and die and how much good is all my "stash" gonna do somebody? I'd rather give it away now ...know what I mean? I'm getting all soupy here..LOL

I love my Ribbon Bag!!

Do you have a ribbon bag? OMG I cannot believe how much this lil thing holds and what in the world did I do BEFORE I bought one? Holy Tangled Ribbons Batman!!!! Have you ever noticed that every single guy who played Bateman always has such lucious full lips?? Control yourself Erika..OK back to ribbons. LOL Well, it's the TRUTH!

Anywho, my ribbon bag is the latest purchase from my friendly Scrapbook store and well worth the $19.95 I paid for it. And I still have a billion holes left in the darned thing for MORE! I'm so tickled. Just wanted to take a minute and share.......

Honey, did you wash your hands and clean your nails? No...Ok go wash them so we both won't be embarassed when I take a pic...Ok, oh baby dry them better because the flash will show how wet they still are!! OK that's better...

Here we go...........he's reaching for the names...I see perspiration beading on his forehead..this is such an important job darlin just reach for the paper...you can do it Dave!!! OK honey, this is not a difficult task for cryin in the rain just do it!!! Oh hell Dave you darned whimp this is sooo easy you don't have to worry about hurting anyone's feelings who won't win. (He's just so tender hearted he hates the thought of someone being disappointed..what a sweetheart he is.)

OK let's try it again..it's OK Dave everyone will be happy with the results..just slowlllllllyyyyy pick a name and we can be done. You ask... why everyone will be happy....no I don't want to say why quite yet. Oh Dave you are so infuriating..Ok I will tell you why everyone will be happy. Because I am going to send everyone who particpated in the drawing a little prize. How Little you ask? Holy Cow Dave...I'm NOT going to tell them now..they will just have to wait and noooooooo....it's not THAT little. It's a nice gift..yes they will be happy and not feel cheated or slighted. It's a nice gift....yes it's bigger than a Valentine's tag...no it's not as big as a bread box.

OK I've had it!!!!..Im going to do the drawing of the name. Heyyyy...dont' push my hand aside...OK here we go, Dave is ready now.....drum roll please.......

Giving Away Sugar!!

LOL LOL Yep that's right. I am giving away some SUGAR....well actually I'm giving away a rabbit named Sugar!! I have always numbered my dolls and as I was logging in Lil Sugar, I realized she is my 1000th doll!!! Holy Cow that's alot of bolts of muslin I've gone through in 9 years!! LOL So I thought in honor of reaching this landmark and in honor of Valentine's Day and MY BIRTHDAY (Feb 15th-I love diamonds, pearls and cash!) I would give away the 1000th doll.

Here's what ya gotta to in order to be in the drawing. You have to email me( etcd@earthlink.net ) and in the subject line write "I need some sugar" and I will write your name on a piece of paper and on Sunday, February 15th, MY BIRTHDAY (did I mention I love diamonds, pearls and cash? I am shameful!!!), I will draw a name. You don't have much time so let me see some emails.

By the way, Sugar is 13" tall, wearing a sweet brown and pink rose print dress (all seams are finished off) bloomers are the same pink and white checked fabric as dress bodice, and the girl has cute pink eyes with brushed shading and eyelashes. Here's a pic of the lil darlin.

I'm A Member of TDIPT!!!

Gosh oh golly!! I've been accepted into TDIPT Mercantile and I'm just tickled pink!! I've always been a great admirer of all that talent on there and now I'm a part of it...whooopie!! Jumpin up and down on my chair is hurting the ole buns but I can't help it. LOL This bunny is one of the two I have posted.

Gotta make this a short post today because the hubster and I are going to start eating better and so now I have to go to the grocery and buy chicken breasts and broccoli and all that green stuff that I really do love.

The Valentine tags are selling well so get them while they last. I won't be making anymore this year.

I'm Back!!

Gosh, it's been many months since I've blogged...can I remember how to do this? LOL Just a note about my mom, she's doing really well up until Christmas and then she had another seizure. So 6 more months of no driving which is totally driving mom and dad nuts!!!

So what have I been doing the last 5 months? Thanks for asking! LOL I've been scrapping!! Yep, totally hooked, line and sinker. Check out my website (link over at the right side) and see my Halloween and Christmas tags and cards. I think they're really nice if I do say so myself.

Since those holidays are over now, I do have 8 wonderful sets of Valentine tags/ornies/badges made up. I'm not sure what to call these lil buggars because I made them with a loop on top so you can hang them on a holiday tree, and they can be used as badges for you prim dolls and then you can also use them as tags on gifts or even book markers. So call them what you may, they are sweet and adorable.

I really love turquoise and pink and brown together so that's the color scheme I've used for Valentines Day. I know, I know....red is the "norm" but hey, I gotta love em first before I sell em.

Each set has 6 tags and they are $6 per set plus $1 shipping. Go check em out on my website but until then, here's some pics.

Well it is tax season and I am proud to announce, I have all my 4th quarter and end of the year stuff done. Yes it is a miracle. Bought my Turbo Tax and got the W-2 and 1099 forms printed and drove to the airport post office and dropped those lil suckers off. I'm soo relieved!! Now on to getting stuff ready for the accountant. We always file extensions but this year I'd like to get the taxes done by April 15th. We will see.

OK will post more later..I'm so glad to be back on line!! Yippeeeeee!
